Regional Competitions
The AMCA anticipates approximately 495 teams, representing nearly 1,000 students, will compete in AMCA regional tournaments this fall. Of those, the top 128 teams will earn a coveted spot at the Preliminary Rounds of the National Tournament (PRONTs), happening in January 2025.
These PRONTs will take place at the following locations:
Preliminary Rounds of the National Tournament (PRONTs)
University of Houston Law Center, Houston, Texas - January 10-11, 2025
(Regionals scheduled for Houston PRONT: DC Regional, Capital Classic, Midwest Regional, Great Lakes Regional)
Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law - The University of Memphis, Memphis, TN - January 10-11, 2025

Please note the following important information about these tentative bids to the national tournament.
The results below are as reported by regional hosts and are not considered an official confirmation of a bid. Bids will be confirmed by the AMCA Board after all reports are reviewed. Contacts will receive an email from the AMCA extending a bid by December 17. Programs will have approximately 1-2 weeks to accept their bid by paying the $250 registration fee through our website. Until that time, this list is for informational purposes only. If you see an error in the information below, please contact the tournament director as soon as possible.
Based on registration as of the census date, the top 25 percent of finishers at each regional will earn an automatic bid to the national tournament. We have highlighted the tentative top 25 percent of each regional below.
After all regionals are completed, any school that qualified more than 12 teams will be required to “give back” excess bids to the regional where the disqualified team(s) participated. The designated “give back” bids are noted with a strikethrough. These “give back” bids will then be allocated to the next highest-ranked team at that regional. Tentative teams earning a bid through a “give back” are highlighted in green.
Any remaining bids will be allocated through the at-large bid process. At-large bids are determined by the highest ballot totals, with tie-breakers applied in the following order:
Teams from schools that already have qualified teams will be passed over in favor of teams from schools that have no teams already qualified.
Regional strength.
Opponent strength.
Point differential.
Coin toss.
Ballot totals are determined using the scoring guidelines in Appendix D of the AMCA rules, which can be found on our Resources page.
This list is unofficial, and no bid should be considered final until the AMCA extends official bids to the designated contact person listed in the school’s registration by December 17.
